About Us

I recently founded Rosewood Furnishings after being made redundant from my job as an upholsterer after 42 years.

I am a professionally qualified time served upholsterer and professional Customer Service After Sales Technician Supervisor with over 42 years experience in the furniture trade.

I am an expert in high resolution fault finding, assessing damage or complaint and where possible resolve the problem.  I pay particular attention to detail, ensuring all repairs are completed to a high standard.  I have also travelled extensively throughout Scotland and England,  when required to Ireland as well.

My working career has also taken me to China on two occasions on quality control issues.

During my career I worked in the Development and Design department before becoming a time served Piece Work Upholsterer, working within a fast paced environment to allocated timescales and having to work to achieve a high standard of quality workmanship which included construction from framework to finished piece.  I liaised with designers working on various prototypes.

This also involved working in the re-covery section.  I have been on various courses to keep updated with all new technology and improvements in the furniture industry including a Leather Master Certificate of Excellence in Repairing and also trained in Leather Characteristics, Technology and Care.
